Welcome to Kiva Collections

Kiva Collections is a mobile art gallery based in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, dedicated to curating and sharing a diverse collection of Indigenous and visionary art. We exist to celebrate the powerful expressions of artists whose work is deeply rooted in cultural heritage, ancient wisdom, and the unbreakable bond between nature, spirit, and humanity.

“Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art.”

Kiva Collections: A Bridge to Ancient Wisdom

Kiva Collections is rooted in the concept of indigenous reciprocity. We strive to create cultural awareness inspired by an old world. Every time we lose an indigenous elder, we lose irreplaceable wisdom — teachings from plants, ancient medicine, and skills born from raw contact with the natural surroundings. To embrace these ways is to inspire, cultivate, and breathe life into a world that is slipping through our fingers.

The Shipibo — a 3,000-year-old tribe grounded in botanical wisdom, shamanic expression, and multigenerational tradition — now has the opportunity to reach out and touch a world in need of healing. These wallets, journals, leatherwork, and textiles are not just products. They are a humble hand reaching into a rich history of medicine, offering a chance to reconnect with our deepest roots.

Some of the hand-woven textiles used in these pieces are medicine songs — sheet music — with patterns that can be read by a few select elders and sung vocally (Icaros).

To carry them is an opportunity to conjure. To attract. To remind us.
Magic lies within.

Our Commitment to Culture & Community

At Kiva Collections, we believe in the transformative power of art to inspire, educate, and bring people together. Our efforts extend beyond curation; we are dedicated to fostering Indigenous reciprocity, cultural support, and sustainable business practices that uplift both artists and communities.

We collaborate directly with artists, ensuring that their stories and traditions are respectfully represented and that they receive fair recognition and compensation for their work. By supporting Kiva Collections, you are not only acquiring unique, meaningful pieces but also contributing to the preservation and elevation of Indigenous artistry and wisdom.
